ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Hello everyone! My name is Tony Cortez, a current fourth year student at UW-Madison studying Genetics and Biological Systems Engineering. With this double major, I plan to graduate in May of 2017.
I chose to research Alzheimer's Disease for this research project because of it's pertinence in my life. When I was much younger, my grandmother moved in with our family. Slowly affected by the symptoms of Alzheimer's, she lived until the age of 94, passing away in November of 2014. Though her memory began to warble, she was constantly surrounded with love and support. As such, I dedicate this research project to her. Hopefully this collection of information proves useful in finding a solution to Alzheimer's--aiding families affected by this disease, such as my own. If you'd like to contact me regarding my research, give comments, or just like to chat, please feel free to fill out the contact form, found here. Thanks! -Tony Cortez |
